In its first true competition test, Reedy's all new LiPo 5000 battery proved its performance capability by powering Rick Hohwart's TC5 to A main finishes in the TC Modified and TC Super Stock (10.5) classes at the 2008 ROAR Carpet Nationals.
While many LiPo batteries were approved and eligible for use in these two heavily factory supported classes, Rick's Reedy LiPo was the only LiPo in the A main in either of these two classes. Not only were the batteries powerful, they were easy to use. Rick explained, I charged my batteries the night before with no loss in performance. My car was as fast as or faster than any other. This allowed me to dedicate more time to my car set up and to fine tuning that I would normally not have as much time time to concentrate on.
The batteries hard case also faced the ultimate test. In Modified A3, Rick was t-boned at full speed on the battery side on his car. The heavy impact ejected the battery from the vehicle but caused no damage to the battery!
